NATIONAL COACHES & MANAGERS REQUIRED FOR BUGS 2010
The British University Games (BUGs) is regarded as the ‘pinnacle’ of the BUCS domestic representative programme. It is a Home Nations Tournament covering five of the main team sports:
- Association Football (Mens & Womens)
- Badminton (Mens & Womens)
- Basketball (Mens & Womens)
- Hockey (Mens & Womens)
- Netball (Women)
The Universities in Wales Athletic Union (UWAU) is seeking to appoint voluntary coaches and managers to select and prepare its’ national sides in the lead up to their international playing programme. UWAU is anxious to ensure that its teams receive the best technical and administrative support from the best coaches and administrators available.
Please find below an information pack and guidelines on applying for each of the positions. I should be most grateful if you would make the information available to any of your staff who might be interested in taking up such a challenge. Copies may be made of any of the forms, but if you require any more, please do not hesitate to contact me. Similarly, if you are aware of any individuals who would be interested in receiving a pack, please forward their details and I would be happy to send on the information.
UWAU relies entirely on volunteers to help make its’ sport a success. Your contribution to this process invaluable and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in anticipation of your help.

Please forward a relevant CV, detailing the position you are applying for and in which sport. Ideally, your resume should contain evidence of qualifications and experience and outline the ways in which you feel you could effectively contribute to UW. Please also detail whether you are currently employed by or work with any of the institutions listed above.
In addition please enclose a covering letter detailing how you would organise the team and ensure that you meet all the criteria listed in the job specification along with any ideas you have for developing a successful team.
